Local ski resorts within driving distance of New Jersey that you can visit
Now that the snow is on the ground in many places and the cold weather is here to stay for the season, many of us will be hitting the slopes. For me, after the criteria of having a good mountain, a variety of trails, and moderate prices, I’m looking for COVID protocols.
The good news is that you don’t have to travel far to New Jersey to check all of those boxes. The Mountain Creek steering really stepped up to accommodate normals in the lift and trails. No masks, no vaccine cards, only bring your skis, your common sense and your family.
Beyond that, here are some of the best mountains in the region that are friendly, affordable, and accessible.
Spadea’s top 3 for location, price and normality!
mountain stream – Vernon Township, NJ
Camel – Tannersville, Pennsylvania
blue mountain – Palmerton, Pennsylvania
We also asked our listeners to give their opinion and here are the top 3 from the public:
Shawnee Mountain Ski Area – East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
Ski Big Bear – Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania
Mount Peter – Warwick, NY
